Are hidden fears stopping you?
From the time we’re young, we’re taught to be afraid of many things. We’re told not to talk to strangers, to be careful around dogs, to look both ways before crossing the street, etc. And as we get older, the list of fears only grows. We become afraid of failing or making mistakes, of being rejected or hurt, fear of missing out on something, fear of what people might think, fear of being disliked, fear of being misunderstood, fear of chasing the wrong thing and so on.
When we look honestly at our lives, we may see that much of our action is driven by fear. Even when we’re not consciously aware of it, fear can push us to make decisions that we later regret. Fear can cause us to cling to relationships that are no longer healthy, to stay in jobs that make us unhappy, and to miss out on opportunities that could lead to a more fulfilling life.
Often, it seems like fear is ruling us! Actions become based on what we’re afraid of, instead of what we want or what’s best for us. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We can choose to face our fears and take action despite them. By learning how to deal with fear in a healthy way, we can find the strength and courage we need to overcome them. And we might just find that we’re capable of more than we ever thought possible.
The first step in overcoming our fears is to become aware of them. Once we understand what it is that we’re really afraid of, we can start to take steps to address these fears. We can ask ourselves whether our fears are based on truth or whether they’re just keeping us from taking risks and pursuing our dreams. Challenge that inner voice or feeling – is it False Evidence Appearing Real?
We can remind ourselves that everyone feels fear at times, but it doesn’t mean we have to let fear stop us. With awareness and courage, we can learn to face our fears and live a fulfilled life.
The decision to change is an important step. Changing requires learning new patterns of being, believing in new things about yourself, being a bit uncomfortable, and committing to the new you. We are who WE choose to be each and every moment.
*We can counteract fear with faith, inner belief and love*.
It is important to remember that everyone has the potential to overcome challenges. This inner strength comes from many different sources, including our values, our relationships, and our beliefs. By tapping into these sources of strength, we can find the power to push through difficult times.
Our faith can give us the courage to face challenges and the strength to overcome obstacles. It can help us to see the beauty in life, even when things are tough. Never forget the power of faith and belief in yourself.
Love is often portrayed as a soft, romantic emotion in Hollywood movies. However, love is so much more than that. It’s the feeling that makes moments meaningful and lives worthwhile. Love can also be the thing that keeps us going when life seems hard. Love is what drives us to be better people, even when it would be so much easier to give up. It’s what helps us overcome our fears and our doubts.
